Jenson Button had his own problems, and for the second year running was involved in a high profile, and somewhat ugly, contract battle. Trouble is, this time instead of trying to get out of a contract with BAR and move to WilliamsF1, he was attempting to wriggle out of a contract with WilliamsF1 and remain with BAR. Confused? Jenson Button did it finally by winning his maiden Formula 1 race on his 113th start at Hungaroring. De La Rosa and Heidfeld ... secured their maiden podium for Mc Laren and BMW. The Championship rivals Alonso and Schumacher both retired from the race leaving the Championship fight as it was at last race. Half way through the race it almost looked like Alonso gonna win the race leaving schumacher without any points and with final 5 laps to go, it looked like Schumi is on his way to grab 8 points as Alonso retired. Jenson Button enters his fifth season at the team now called Honda, but which was called BAR when he joined it in 2003. After seven seasons in the sport, Jenson Button finally won his first Formula 1 race in 2006 at the Hungarian Grand Prix. The victory justified one of the most difficult decisions in his career when in 2004 he broke a contract with the Williams team in order to stay with the Honda team, causing bitterness and criticism throughout the paddock.

Jenson Button was born on January 19, 1980, in Frome, Somerset. He is the son of former rallycross ace John Button (well-known for his so-called Colorado beetle Volkswagen), whose best overall result was to become the runner-up in the RAC British Rallycross Championship of 1976. Button junior began karting at age eight, generally dominating every race in which he took part. In 1991, he won the British Cadet Kart Championship, taking first place in all 34 races. In 1997, he became the youngest driver ever to win the European Super A Championship. He switched from karts to cars in 1998, winning the British Formula Ford Championship that same year for Haywood Racing.
