Jennifer Aniston (born February 11, 1969) is an Emmy- and Golden Globe Award-winning American film and television actress, best known for her role as Rachel Green in the popular television sitcom Friends. Apart from Friends, she has starred in several successful Hollywood films, including Bruce Almighty, Office Space, Along Came Polly, Derailed and The Break-Up.
LOS ANGELES, July 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Some say Jennifer Aniston is the smartest actress in Hollywood. In addition to her star-making role as Rachel on the iconic sitcom Friends, Jennifer has proven her worth on the big screen with great performances in Office Space, The Good Girl, Along Came Polly, Derailed, and The Break-Up.
In 2006, Aniston appeared in the low-budget drama, Friends with Money, which was first shown at the Cannes Film Festival, received a limited release, and grossed over $13 million. Aniston's next film, The Break-Up, which was released on June 2, grossed approximately $39.17 million during its opening weekend, despite lukewarm reviews.[4] It has currently grossed over $118 million at the U.S. box office and over $203 million worldwide.
Apparently, Aniston's adoring fans want to see her happily settled down--preview audiences didn't go for the comedy's original darker ending, which had the actress remaining broken up with her ex (played by Vaughn), according to the New York Post. The final scenes were reportedly reshot, making The Break-Up a little less Annie Hall and a lot more Ross 'n' Rachel.
