This is the mint 16x24 cardboard poster from the second of three fights between Hall-of-Fame bantamweight champion Jeff Chandler, of Philadelphia, and No. 1-rated Eijiro Murata, of Japan. This fight took place Dec. 10, 1981 at the Sands Hotel in Atlantic City and was televised over a myriad of cable systems. Chandler K0d Murata in the 13th round after having been held to a 15-round draw in their first fight eight months earlier in Tokyo. They boxed again nearly two years later in Tokyo and Chandler won that one by knockout in 10 rounds.

Chandler battled the cataracts and Richie Sandoval in Atlantic City on April 7, 1984. The combatants gave a hearty performance, but Sandoval jumped through Chandler’s defense and scored a crushing 15th round knockout. Now it was time to turn his attention toward his eyes.
