Mit einem Cameo-Auftritt in Der Pferdeflüsterer beendete Jeanette Nolan ihre lange Laufbahn als Schauspielerin. Die gebürtige Kalifornierin begann ihre Karriere im Pasadena Playhouse , während sie das College besuchte. Außerdem machte sie Radio-Hörspiele. In den frühen 1930er Jahren lernte sie den Schauspieler John McIntire kennen und heiratete ihn. 1935 übersiedelten sie nach New York City um bei dortigen Radiosendern zu arbeiten. Ihre Freizeit verbrachte das Paar auf einer Ranch in Montana, die sie sich 1937 kauften.

Ed Mee, vice president of the Atomic Trades and Labor Council in Oak Ridge, presents the key to the Habitat for Humanity house to Jamie and Jeanette Nolan of Mossy Grove.
