The docu is a little short on clips from all but a handful of Seberg's Euro features, but the Dubinis have collected on-set footage, still photographs and other documents. Subjects willing to go on record are for the most part peripheral figures in Seberg's life, but the net result is nonetheless a fascinating, level-headed summation.

The more ambiguous Seberg reveals less about herself, perhaps because she's not sure of what to make about Bel- mondo's Michel. At various points – including within one long scene in her smoke-filled hotel room – she's intrigued by this gangster, excited by his obliviousness to danger and sexually attracted to him, yet ... somewhat resistant.

There, like many other liberal celebrities of the time, she became involved with social issues and radical activists.
