Jason Lewis is from Southern California. As a teenager, Jason was determined to get out and see the world. He had to work hard in order to do so, working for a plumbing contractor, and 55 hours a week as a waiter in a restaurant. In June of 1993, when finally he had enough money collected, he went to Paris at the suggestion of a model scout who thought he would do great in the modeling industry. Jason did a little modeling and was soon on his way to Milan, where he was adored by the fashion industry there.

With his natural charisma, innate acting ability and brooding good looks, Jason Lewis has the potential to bring needed heat to the final season of "Sex and the City." If enthusiasm by its producers is any indication, this relative newcomer ... has the potential to parlay his series regular role on the HBO series into a career as a leading man.

"Happy All The Time," the title of Jason Lewis' first solo EP, may sound appropriately sunny for this collection of jangly pop tunes, but the words in these songs tell a different story. Self-examination and sometimes downright heart ache are exposed from track to track. Such contrasts are mirror-images of real life for so many and Jason Lewis tells these stories with the warmth and familiarity of an old friend. Co-produced and recorded in 2003 with former Wilco guitarist, Jay Bennet, "Happy All The Time" is five tracks of smart songcraft occupying the grey area between alt-country and American power pop. Jason earned his stripes as the singer and songwriter for Star City, a respected alt-country band out of New York that released two independent CDs. In 2003, after seven years, Jason put Star City on hold and made plans to return to his home state of West Virginia. Now raising a family and living in a cozy, quiet neighborhood of Morgantown, Lewis has penned enough material for two full CDs and has been accepted into the highly prestigious Writers' Workshop at the University of Iowa.

On July 12th 1994 Jason Lewis set off from the Greenwich Meridian in East London with ex-college friend Steve Smith to attempt the first circumnavigation of the globe using only human power. At 12.36 p.m on October 6th 2007, 4833 days and 11 hours after setting out, he re-crossed the line completing what has been dubbed as ‘One of the Last Great Firsts’ by The Sunday Times. Explorers Web, advisor to Guinness World Records on non-competitive ‘firsts’, has credited Jason with completing the first circumnavigation of the world by human power alone.
