Although still in his 20s, Jason already has a wealth of performing experience. He was raised on country music from the time of his birth, February 28, 1977. Once he came to know about the country music awards show on TV, inspired by the show, Aldean, at that time was only 14 years old, decided to perform at the show. He was helped by his mother, who arranged for him to sing two songs at the VFW Hall in Macon. His performance was widely praised and so he began to perform at other area talent contests as well as local fairs. When he was 15 years old, he joined a house band at the Macon nightspot Nashville South. After one year, he earned enough money so as to buy his first vehicle which was a 1985 Toyota pickup with a rusted-out tailgate. After completion of his high school graduation, he made decision that he will make career in music.
