Janet Reno is an impelling attorney. She was the first woman to serve as a state attorney in Florida. Ms. Reno achieved a distinguished record while serving in Dade County, Florida. She worked against riots and escalating drug-related crime in Miami (1980's).

The only way the U. S. Army Tanks and drivers could have been ordered to help the incompetent ATF and FBI (under Janet Reno's control) is by order of the President! There is no way the U. S. Army could have been involved with the Waco killings, without someone in the chain of command ordering it. President Clinton had to order the hit! The chain of command would have been followed. Even Clinton would not have authorized the killing of so many unless they had something even worse to hide.

A new public-private alliance to curb Internet crime will help teach children ``that hacking is the same as breaking and entering,'' Attorney General Janet Reno said Monday. Educating children about acceptable online behavior is among three initiatives under the Cybercitizen Partnership, an initiative of government and the high-tech industry to promote cyberspace ethics and help law enforcers track down online criminals. ``All children know it's wrong to break into a neighbor's house or read your best friend's diary. Unfortunately, fewer realize that it's wrong to break into their neighbor's computers and snoop through their computer files,'' Reno said.

Reno's decision making is particularly interesting because it portrays how a democratic style of leadership yields poor quality decisions in situations that are unfamiliar. After just 38 days in office, Reno may not have understood this. Her legacy could have been the disaster that resulted from group decision making involving the FBI, BATF and local law enforcement. Reno said if she could revisit any decision it would be the deadly raid on the Branch Davidian compound at Waco, Texas, where Branch Davidian leader David Koresh and some 80 followers perished. Unlike Waco, Reno did not cede control to the FBI in reuniting Elian Gonzalez with his Cuban father and family. An overwhelming number of US citizens approved of her handling of that and the Oaklahma bombing case.
