Jamie Lynn Spears is the younger sister of pop star Britney Spears and the star of the Nickelodeon television comedy Zoey 101. Spears grew up in Louisiana and started her professional career tagging along with her sister on commercial shoots and performances. In the 2002 movie Crossroads Jamie Lynn played the younger version of Britney's character, Lucy. Her "rising star" status led to a job as a regular cast member on Nickelodeon's All That, the comedy sketch show that made Amanda Bynes a star. In 2004 Jamie Lynn was tapped to star in her own show on Nickelodeon, Zoey 101. The success of the show -- and her famous sister -- helped make Spears a favorite of pre-teen viewers.

Born April 4, 1991 in McComb, MS, Spears was the youngest of three children born to Jamie and Lynne Spears (whose first names were combined to create hers). While still a baby, Spears moved from her hometown of Kentwood, LA, to New York City with her mother and older sister in an effort to build Britney’s music career. When Britney did hit big in the late ‘90s, Jamie Lynn began expressing interest in following in her sister’s performing footsteps. At first, the youngster began popping up in her sisters’ projects. Her first onscreen appearance came in the 2001 concert movie, “Totally Britney Live.†She ... turned up in a Pepsi commercial with her sister in that same year, as well as playing a younger version of Britney’s character in her unfortunate feature film debut, “Crossroads.â€

According to a source, Jamie and sister Britney hit up baby store Petit Tresor in West Hollywood on February 25 and bought a lot of blue items. ” “Britney originally said the items were for herself,” said the source, but the line appeared to be a cover for Jamie Lynn. For the last few months sources have been saying that mother Lynne Spears and Jamie Lynn have not been getting along so well. Lynne took Jamie Lynn back home to Kentwood, Louisiana after she announced her pregnancy - presumably to keep her away from prying eyes. Jamie Lynn’s been laying low and hasn’t been photographed much, but there have been several reports that Lynne has barred Jamie Lynn from seeing her baby’s dad, Casey Aldridge. Some articles are saying that Jamie Lynn wants to marry Casey, while others say she just wants to be with him. Regardless, it seems a little late to keep the two from each other. Not much has been said about what Casey’s role will be in his child’s life, but it seems like it’d be a good idea to keep good relations between young new parents.

Apparently Jamie Lynn herself was an accident just like the child in her belly that may or may not be Casey Aldridge's. Teenagers Jamie Lynn Spears and her baby-daddy Casey Aldridge will be parents in a matter of months, and they have no choice but to prepare. Jamie doesn't drive, and Casey's been driving a flatbed pickup truck that won't work once the baby arrives. There's no place to put a car-seat. So the young couple has been vehicle shopping in Kentwood, Louisiana. They decided to purchase a fully loaded Chrysler Town & Country mini-van for Casey. It's not exactly his dream car, but it's just what the doctor ordered.
