Jamie Anderson is a senior member of the technical staff at the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory where she is the Vehicle Systems Group Leader in the Mechanical and Instruments Division of Engineering. Jamie earned her Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in the joint program in oceanographic engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Her graduate research focused on autonomous underwater vehicle design and control and the hydrodynamics of fish swimming. After joining the Draper technical staff in 1996, Jamie led the design team for the Vorticity Control Unmanned Undersea Vehicle, an autonomous underwater robot that mimics a yellow fin tuna. Currently Jamie works on a variety of robotics research projects for land, air and undersea applications. Jamie Anderson is a prolific artist within the dance music community. His background stems from his early beginnings as a jazz keyboardist in Bristol, where he learned his skills for the future. His love for collecting keyboards soon brought forth his own interpretations on dance music incorporating sounds of Detroit techno, Chicago acid house as well as latin flavours. In 1997 Jamie released his debut solo effort on his own label Artform, and by 2001 he signed up with NRK to release his own album of material, while ... building a DJ and remixing career. Today hes still challenging his sound and his debut here on Dutch label Extrema with 'Arion' shows yet another side of this talented producer.

One morning, Jamie Anderson finds he has a mysterious aversion to getting out of bed. His father is far away, driving his ice cream truck. Jamie's mother is sympathetic and gives him ice cream he asks for every day, but the situation is a little puzzling to them both. Jamie has no temperature, yet doesn't get any better. The doctor is called in and finds nothing wrong. The week progresses and Jamie continues to eat his ice cream, draw pictures and play with his cat and his racing cars.

Jamie Anderson was born and raised in New City, New York, some 30 miles from New York City. His grandfather was Maxwell Anderson, an eminent Broadway playwright, whose stage credits included What Price Glory, Lost in the Stars, Key Largo, The Bad Seed and Winterset. He ... scripted a number of screenplays, including All Quiet on the Western Front and The Wrong Man. His father was a stage manager and director in the theater and also of early, live television programs, including The Kraft Theatre and directing live Kodak commercials on The Ed Sullivan Show.
