Pierce Brosnan as James Bond James Bond really needs no introduction. After 40 years in the cinema with 20 official movies (and two more that enthusiasts don't count), 007's adventures are known around the world. It's estimated that over two billion people have watched Bond movies – that's two fifths of the earth's population.

Bond's work with the Defence Intelligence Group at Defence Intelligence and Security Centre, Chicksands, proved highly satisfactory, although his fellow officers noted Bond's rather casual attitude toward command structure and protocol. Bond's work provided vital intelligence during key moments with Libya, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Cyprus, Indonesia, China (during the Hong Kong handover) and North Korea. In Libya, Bond was able to secure detailed assessments of the status of the Libyan government's reputed financial ties to numerous terrorist organizations, as well as crucial information related to the settlement of issues related to the Pan Am 103 case. In Iraq, Bond was able to monitor Iraqi counter-moves to the UNSCOM (now UNMOVIC) inspections process during one key period. Bond undertook a particularly hazardous mission into Afghanistan to rescue a researcher deemed important to Her Majesty's government who was being imprisoned by the Taliban government. During the S-300 missile crisis in Cyprus, Bond helped undermine the Republic of Cyprus government's confidence, and, it is felt, helped bring a peaceful resolution to the matter.
The answer is complex, local film projection technician James Bond said, because there are so many variables. A 35 mm print that comes directly from the camera negative and is projected under optimal conditions can't be beat, he said, but most Hollywood movies are reproduced by the thousands with a resultant drop in quality.
In court documents from the recent countersuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, Sony claims that Bond and the Bond movies are all based on the sort of action originally written in the story line for "Thunderball." Because of that, they say McClory is the co-author of the cinematic Bond.
After the war,David Niven joined the James Bond gang for a mission which involved blowing up an eastern European casino by using an atom bomb disguised as an Alka-Seltzer. The mission was a success, but the advertising campaign for Alka-Seltzer had to be changed from "Plop, plop, flash, BOOOOOOOOM!" to "Plop, plop, fizz, fizz" to make the product more appealing to people looking for a medicine to cure their upset stomach. His next mission involved staging a mutiny on a Royal Navy ship, and sailing it to Cuba to defect, a story which later came to be a book by Tom Clancy and then later a movie called "The Hunt for Red October".
