James Bond: Le Chiffre
built 233 days ago
On his first mission as agent 007, Bond and an agent named Carter worked cooperatively in an attempt to capture international bomb-maker, Molloka. At a mongoose/cobra fight in Madagascar, Bond and Carter conducted surveillance on Molloka but, due to a foolish mistake made by Carter, the suspected criminal realized he was being watched and attempted to escape. Bond pursued Molloka through the jungle, up an enormously high construction site and finally to the Nambutu Embassy, where he attempted to arrest the suspected bombmaker. However, Bond found himself surrounded by Nambutu soldiers, who died after he shot Molloka and caused an explosion that partly ... destroyed the embassy. The incident infuriated the British government, as Bond had only been instructed to capture Molloka, but the criminal's cell phone led Bond to discover a terrorist plot to blow up a gigantic prototype Skyfleet airliner at Miami International Airport. Bond managed to stop the terrorists from succeeding and killed a man named Carlos, who had replaced Molloka as the criminal responsible for destroying the airliner.

Lazenby's big break came when an actor with a letter to join the James Bond gang appeared in his bar one night. The drunken actor kept bragging about how he was so good and an Academy award winner and how the Jews controlled Hollywood, which slowly began to annoy Lazenby. But then after sixteen Fosters, the actor (Joe Don Baker) revealed he had the letter inviting him to join the James Bond gang. Lazenby, taking his destiny into his own hands, picked up a bottle and smashed it over the actor's head, knocking him out cold. Lazenby stole the letter and headed off to America to seek his fame and fortune.

Bond has had many romantic encounters with women, although most have been short-lived. In 1962, he met Sylvia Trench and had a short-lived romantic relationship with her that she resumed after Bond returned from Jamaica, where he met and seduced Honey Ryder. (Dr. No, From Russia with Love) While working undercover in China, Bond supposedly married Kissy, but their matrimonial bond was not legally binding. (You Only Live Twice) Soon after, he legitimately married Contessa Teresa di Vicenzo, but she died moments after she and Bond left their marriage ceremony. (On Her Majesty's Secret Service) Nevertheless, Bond's emotional attachment to his wife persisted after her death and he visited her grave, years later.

When not on assignment or at headquarters Bond spends his time at his flat off the Kings Road in Chelsea. His flat, as well as himself, is looked after by an elderly Scottish housekeeper named May, who is very loyal and often motherly to him. According to Higson's Young Bond series, May previously worked for Bond's aunt, Charmian. Bond hardly ever brings women back to his home, happening only once between the novels Diamonds Are Forever and From Russia with Love when he briefly lived with Tiffany Case; and once in the film series: in Live and Let Die, M and Moneypenny visit Bond at his flat, forcing him to hide his female company in the wardrobe. According to Pearson's book and hinted at in From Russia with Love, Tiffany often got into arguments with May and eventually left. At his home, Bond has two telephones.

In his screen debut, Bond was portrayed by American actor Barry Nelson as an American agent, Jimmy Bond. Felix Leiter, his CIA counterpart in the books and films (with his first name changed to Clarence), was depicted as a British agent. Linda Christian would be the first “Bond girl,” in the role played by Eva Green in the new movie, and Peter Lorre, the first Bond villain.
