While according to James Bond: The Secret World of 007 Bond is 6' 1", only two of the actors who have played him are that height. The others range from 5' 11" (Daniel Craig) to 6' 2 1/2" (George Lazenby).

Daniel Craig is the current James Bond(or, Mr Kiss-Kiss Bang-Bang, as he wants to be called). He brutally murdered Pierce Brosnan, then threatened to do the same to the team of producers and the director of the new James Bond movie if they didn't make him the next James Bond. Originally they refused, so he used that tactic from The Godfather of sticking a bloody horse's head in one the producers' beds. it was the producer's wife's head. Shortly thereafter, he, Craig, got the role.

The 2006 film Casino Royale is a reboot of the 007 franchise that depicts Bond's first mission as 007. The film's official website [3] gives a lengthy biography of the Bond that parallels the backstory of Fleming's literary character, but it is updated to reflect Bond's new birth date of April 13, 1968; April 13 being the day in which Casino Royale was published in 1953 and 1968 being the year in which Daniel Craig was born. This version of the character is born in West Berlin. His parents, Andrew and Monique Bond, died in a climbing accident, so he was raised in Kent, England, by his aunt Charmain.
