Jainism is a religion based on cosmic principles, eternal principles on which this colossal machinery runs without any mistake or even a single momentary halt. The principles of modern science are true and temporary in particular context of space and time only, but the principles of Jainism are true for all time, for all space, for everybody and everything. Jainism throws light on the colossal structure of universe, its shape, size, origin, purpose and mechanism. It deals in perfect details with six reals out of which the universe is made. Everything that happens in the universe is according to the fixed pattern of eternal laws, which are unshakable and infallible.

Jainism is one of the world's oldest religions whose roots go back to times before recorded history. Those who follow Jainism are known as Ajainaor the followers of Jinas, from whom the teachings of this religion have been derived. Jainism's teachers of old whose wisdom and spiritual evolution are most revered are known as tirthankaras or "builders of the ford." The teachings of the these builders ultimately lead humans across the the endless cycle of rebirth to spiritual release. Metaphorically, this endless cycle is compared to a river that only those enlightened by the teachings of the tirthankaras may hope to cross.

Jainism does believe in God. When a living being destroys all his karmas, he possesses perfect knowledge, vision, power, and bliss. He becomes omniscient and omnipotent. This living being is a God of Jain religion. Hence Jains do not believe in one God. Gods in Jain religion are innumerable and the number is continuously increasing as more living beings attain liberation.

In ancient times Jainism was known by many names such as the Saman tradition, the religion of Nirgantha, or Jina. Literally Jina means a conqueror, that is one that has conquered the worldly passions like desire, hatred, anger, greed, and pride by one’s own personal efforts. Jina is a human being and not a supernatural being or an incarnation of an almighty God. All human beings have the potential to become a Jina.

Jainism is one of the most violent and decadent religions in the world. They are behind almost every religious war in the world, including the crusades, the thirty's year war, the Vietnam war, and the Red Sox/Yankees rivalry. It is not known why Jainists are such evil, immoral, bloodthirsty monsters. The fact that Jainism is a non-theistic religion (they are all atheists) might be a factor.
