For a number of years, much of Clune's comedy act was based on her sexual orientation; Clune identified as a lesbian from 1988 to 2000. In one interview in 2003, she suggested that she chose to become a lesbian, apparently at least partly on political grounds, and did not identify with the coming out experiences of certain of her gay friends. She currently identifies as straight and has had four children with her partner Richard Hannant.[1]

The entire cast excel in this production, with vocally-talented leading ladies Katie Brayben and Jackie Clune hitting all the right notes. Their supporting ensemble cast ... pull in punchy performances, complete with comedy, charisma and all the necessary pace to keep the flow between the bumper-to-bumper Abba songs, employed to witty effect.

At the centre of this show is Clune's own ego. She affects an air of weary superiority as she recounts her Irish Essex-girl childhood ("white stilettos and a balaclava - bad combination"), her years as a "gay lady", and her recent relationship with a queer Yorkshireman.
