Jackass: Johnny Knoxville
built 178 days ago
In one episode of Jackass, Johnny Knoxville put on a flame-retardant suit, lit himself on fire, and used himself to cook some meat (see right). A 13 year old boy named Jason Lind saw it and recreated it. Guess what crucial part he forgot to include? That's right, the flame-retardant suit. He just covered himself in gasoline and meat and lit a match.

Behind The Scenes on Jackassworld.com Jackass became so popular that several celebrities knowingly participated in a few pranks on the show. Brad Pitt appeared in two skits -- one where he was "abducted" and another where he donned a monkey suit while running through the streets. Also caught on tape were NBA all-star Shaquille O'Neal dry-humping Wee-Man and Steve-O; skateboarding legend Tony Hawk putting his wheels on "the loop" with Bam Margera; and hip-hop impresario Diddy impersonating Johnny Knoxville.

With the release of Jackass: The Movie, director Jeff Tremaine and the rest of the Jackass cast believed that Jackass was finished and there would be no further projects under the franchise. However, during the final season of Wildboyz, Johnny Knoxville joined his former castmates Chris Pontius and Steve-O on various expeditions around the world. It was said that Knoxville went so far out during the filming of the show that Tremaine pulled him aside and said "If you're willing to go this all out, why not get all the guys together and shoot another movie?" Knoxville agreed, and with both Viva La Bam and Wildboyz finishing their runs, the entire cast was available to reunite and film the sequel. [8]
Jackass Number Two (Unrated) In a moment of total genius — or disaster — MTV is handing over the airwaves to the Jackass crew for 24 hours. From Feb. 23 at noon until noon the next day, Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O and associates will be in charge of the 'net in an unhostile "takeover."While it's pretty obvious that a sleepover with the prank-happy posse is something to avoid, watching it all go down on TV is a different story. Some of the rumored stunts and games include a wiener-eating contest and night vision dodgeball, with plenty more antics in the works. — Anna Dimond read more

Jackass: The Movie Director Jeff Tremaine turns the MTV show "Jackass," in which Johnny Knoxville and his fellow stunt-loving pranksters perform daring and strangely idiotic feats, into a full-length film. Knoxville and friends -- including Tony Hawk and Spike Jonze -- are willing to do anything to amuse themselves and those around them. They wander Japan in panda outfits, wreak havoc on a golf course, perform stunts involving live alligators and more.
