Jackass: Jackass: The Movie

Anyone who has seen at least one episode of the Jackass TV show will know what to expect of the movie. Essentially, Jackass: The Movie is an elongated episode with a bigger budget ($5 million, which was used to pay for a trip to Japan, demolish a rental car, and more) and more freedom to curse and show male nudity. You can ... expect cameos from the likes of Henry Rollins, Butterbean, Tony Hawk and Mat Hoffman.

Jackass: The Movie comes from Paramount in an [A]namorphically enhanced transfer in the film’s original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The film looked as “professional” as it could considering how the film was made and the material they were presenting and ultimately, the image was consistently sharp and detailed throughout. (As an aside, the studio has a fullscreen version of the film available as well, so make sure when you purchase the DVD, you look for the “Widescreen” banner on the box.)

After the show went off the air, the cast reunited in 2002 to film what they believed would be the conclusion of Jackass: a full-length motion picture version of the show entitled Jackass: The Movie. The cast made it clear that the film was their "farewell" to the fans of the show, and with the franchise taking the movie format, the cast and crew were now allowed to circumvent the censors, showing more vulgar stunts than the ones featured on the TV show. [7] Despite earlier disagreements, MTV Films assisted in the movie's distribution.
