Jackass: Jackass Number
built 177 days ago
The double feat of ``Jackass" is that it weds the obviously juvenile with the arrestingly profound. The boys of Delta Kappa Epsilon and their TAs can watch this movie in the same theater. Many smarty-pants have noted that ``Jackass" distills physical comedy to its essence, while scrapping narrative altogether. The stunts (in ``Number Two," Margera aptly refers to them as bits) are the joke, and the body becomes the punch line. This is extreme comedy, and it's amazing how director Jeff Tremaine, who along with Spike Jonze has been affiliated with this troupe from its outset, creates an environment where self-inflicted torture is uncontrollably funny without being morally offensive.

Jackass star Steve-O let it slip today on the Howard Stern Show that a third Jackass movie is in the works. No, we’re not talking about the Jackass 2.5 direct-to-DVD movie which is coming out later this year. I’m talking about Jackass: Number Three.

On September 5, 2007, Bam Margera announced on The Howard Stern Show that Jackass 2.5 will be released. He said that Jackass 2.5 would be a compilation DVD of stunts that did not make it to Jackass Number 2. One example of a stunt that Bam gave was where he pulled Don Vito's teeth out with his Lamborghini... the stunt also didn't make to cut into Jackass 2.5 in the wake of his probation sentence in December 2007.
Actors Stephen "Steve-O" Glover and Johnny Knoxville arrive at the premiere of Paramount's "Jackass Number Two" at the Chinese Theater "Jackass Number Two" cost just $11.5 million to make and took in slightly more than that on Friday alone. Males accounted for two-thirds of the movie's audience, with 71 percent of the crowd younger than 25, according to Paramount.
