Born into the business by celebrated director Ivan Reitman, Jason is hitting the map on his name alone. After a number of award-winning short films Jason directed (and wrote the screenplay) for his freshman feature-length film in 2005, Thank You For Smoking.

In 1984, Reitman was honoured as Director of the Year by the National Association of Theatre Owners and the next year received a Special Achievement Award at the Canadian Genie Awards. In 1979 and again in 1989, Reitman won a People’s Choice Award for the films Animal House and Twins. In November of 1994, Reitman became the third director to be honoured by Variety magazine in a special Billion Dollar Director issue. At the end of the year 2000, Reitman’s films Animal House and Ghostbusters were saluted as two of this past century’s funniest movies by the American Film Institute. He currently heads The Montecito Picture Company, a film and television production company with partner Tom Pollock, in association with DreamWorks, SKG.
