Iran: Governments
built 177 days ago
Iran always was a spearhead of technical progress. Well the invasion of Iran is something that is really stupid yankees are thinkin of. While US are stuck in Iraq and Afghanistan, they do not have enough troops to attack Iran. The Iranians themselves do not fear the american government because of having Hezbollah on their side. Although there is one big concern, will Arnold Schwarzenegger join the US army?! If so then the Iranians will become worried because even Osama Bin Laden himself claimed that he feared Aronld the Great. Lara Croft is ... one of the yankees the Iranians fear.
The President of Iran is bad, he is an islamo-fascist. He does preside over a government that makes a women’s testimony half that of a man and women are stoned to death for adultry. He did deny the Holocaust and did say that Israel should be wiped off the map and he is clandestinely mucking around with nuclear weapon technology. He does jail dissidents and his government does supply weapons and training to terror gangs. These things are all true. One doesn’t have to make him look bad, because he is bad.
Since the Islamic revolution in Iran in 1979, millions of Iranian citizens have sought to escape from the Islamic regime. In normal circumstances when Muslim citizens are arrested attempting to leave without official permission, the established punishment is a small fine or a short jail term. However, in the instances where Jewish citizens have been similarly arrested, the Islamic government has instituted much harsher penalties. The Plaintiffs allege that Khatami has singled out the Jewish community and authorized the policy of secretly imprisoning the Jews indefinitely.
In the immediate aftermath of the revolution, Iran's ambitious nuclear program fell apart due to the initial opposition by the Khomeini government to nuclear technology and because of the exodus of many of Iran's nuclear scientists. Additionally, the insufficiency of the existing electrical infrastructure and dwindling oil revenues contributed to the withdrawal of foreign suppliers from Iran and the abandonment of nuclear power agreements. Iran's only nuclear power plants in 1979 were the two plants under construction at Bushehr, under contract with Germany's Siemens. The weapons research side of Iran's nuclear activities seemed to have continued uninterrupted by the revolution, and received a major boost when a new nuclear research center opened at Isfahan in 1984.

An estimated seven million Iranians have access to the Internet, which has been used to circumvent government censorship. Iran is reported to have sealed off the office of the popular news Web site baztab.com.
