Ipod Mini: Apple Store
built 224 days ago
The iPod mini is a digital audio player designed and marketed by Apple Inc. It was the midrange model in Apple's iPod family. It was announced on January 6, 2004 and released on February 20 of the same year. A second-generation version was announced on February 23, 2005 and released later that year. The iPod mini line was officially discontinued on September 7, 2005 and replaced by the iPod nano line.
This is the full-sized iPod, not the iPod mini. What's nice is that it will work with all of Apple's iPod accessories. From the sound of it, the only bit of Apple branding the device will have is the Apple logo being displayed when the device starts up.

After months upon months of waiting, consumers outside of the United States will be able to get their hands on an iPod mini simply by visiting their local electronics store (hopefully, you are near an electronics store). While the international launch comes a bit late due to the shortage of Hitachi microdrives, Apple now says they are ready to take on the worldwide audience. Here's to hoping they have enough pink ones for the launch.

IPod Nano Apple's release of the iPod nano as a replacement for the iPod mini is viewed by many as a risky move. The mini was not only Apple's most popular MP3 player, it was still the world's best-selling player up to the end of its lifespan and sales of the mini did not appear to be slowing down. Steve Jobs has argued that the iPod nano is a necessary risk since competitors are beginning to catch up to the iPod mini in terms of design and features, and believes the iPod nano will prove to be even more popular and successful than the iPod mini. Analysts see this as part of the corporate culture of Apple, which relies heavily upon innovating to continue appealing to consumers.

Almost from the beginning people have been fitting new batteries in the iPod mini due to the fact that its capacity decreases over time. There are various manuals for battery replacement on the internet and many outlets selling compatible Lithium-ion batteries for those who wish to avoid the expensive charge for sending the iPod back to Apple. Many such batteries are of higher capacity than the original - some are up to 850mAh while the stock battery is around 400mAh.
