The Ionic Breeze is virtually silent, but the Intelli-Pro is still very quiet, especially on the "Quiet" setting. However, the silence advantage of the Ionic Breeze does little to compensate for the major advantages the Intelli-Pro has in performance and diagnostics. This is especially true when you consider that the Intelli-Pro is no bother at all when it comes to sound.

If you enjoy your Ionic Breeze more power to you, but for the money there are infinitely better filters out there. And in the end the fact that Sharper Image is so upset over this report should be proof enough that all they are selling is sugar water.

The reason the Intelli-Pro is much more effective than the Ionic Breeze, is due to the fact that it features a high-efficiency particle filter (HEPA). HEPA filters are widely considered the most effective type of filter against solid particles, such as dust and allergens. The Intelli-Pro ... has an electronic, or electrostatic filter like the Ionic Breeze, but with greater surface area.
