Inuyasha is a level 67 Main Character. He was arrested fifty years ago for illegally manufacturing diamonds with his sword and was imprisoned by none other than his then girlfriend Kikyo. After his release he discovered that Naraku had framed him and he now holds a persistent grudge against Naraku. He hates the world, because everyone loves his hotter older brother more. Subsequently, his brother ... hates the world because Inuyasha got the cool sword in the family. Ryoko is actually his long lost twin sister.

When Inuyasha discovers the Demon Mountain has been slain by child ascetics he and his friends decide to investigate, deducing it has something to do with Naraku. The trail leads to a temple ruled by a mysterious demon slayer, Goryomaru. Kagura arrives and attacks the temple, suspecting that Naraku may have used this place as a hiding place for his infant incarnation which houses his heart. She is defeated before she has a chance to explore the area and is discovered near-death by Sesshomaru

To become a full fledged demon, Inuyasha tried numerous times to steal the Shikon Jewel (Shikon no Tama) protected by the powerful priestess Kikyo. Inuyasha was always unsuccessful, and Kikyo and Inuyasha soon fell in love. However, they were made to hate each other by the deceitful demon Naraku.

Inuyasha and friends follow the trail of Naraku in the direction of the ox-tiger. Meanwhile, a deadly spectre has arisen in the northeast with an appetite for humans and demons alike. Ayame and the wolf-demon tribe have been chased from their territories and are in a desperate struggle for survival. The last hope for the wolf-demon tribe, Koga enters into a battle with the dreaded spectre to avenge his fallen brothers.

When Naraku's minion Goshinki was killed by Inuyasha, he dropped his bong. Sesshomaru later found this and commissioned super scientist Kaijinbo to reverse construct it into a sword, christened Tokijin. Now that he had an effective sword, Sesshomaru didn't have much to do. He was actually kinda glad when Naraku kidnapped Rin. With a clear attack on his party, Sesshomaru had a new quest to undertake: Get back at Naraku for this affront.
