Industrial Web Sites Aram Danesh and The Super Human Crew hires Interstellar Data to design a music web site for the hip-hop / jazz band based in the San Francisco Bay area. The site uses original photography and graphics to produce a street-wise yet sophisticated atmosphere. The Flash site provides band information, upcoming shows and sample mp3 tracks. ":It looks cool - sort of retro - sort of classic car - jazzy - yet street," riffs band leader, Aram Danesh.
Interstellar travel poses a number of difficulties. There are all the difficulties of interplanetary travel, including hard vacuum, radiation, micrometeoroids, and free fall. These difficulties seem tractable; robot missions have been sent to almost every planet in the Solar system, humans have been sent to the Moon, and manned missions to Mars have been planned for years. Interstellar travel is made immeasurably more difficult by the tremendous distance to even the nearest stars. Intergalactic travel is even more difficult.

Interstellar space is as close to empty as you can get; ... it is not completely empty. There are billions of comets out there and small worlds larger than the largest Main Belt asteroids. Recently a "tenth planet" larger than Pluto has been discovered. Perhaps more "Plutinos" exist. There are certain to be objects the size of boulders, rocks and pebbles floating around. These are rare and widely separated, but collision with a ten kilogram rock at 66% light speed could result in a 47 megaton explosion.

Music Web Sites - San Francisco Josh Fix hires Interstellar Data to develop a multimedia web site as part of a campaign to promote the release of the San Francisco musician's first album. The developer integrated a streaming XML music player, semi-transparent pages with transitions and dynamic, updateable text to produce the music web site.
This is a doppelganger of Jandek's Interstellar Discussion in honor of his live performace(!) at a Scottish festival last week. This is not the Jandek LP, only the titles are the same.

Interstellar space travel is unmanned or manned travel between stars, though the term usually denotes the latter. The concept of interstellar travel in starships is a staple in science fiction. There is a tremendous difference between interstellar travel and interplanetary travel, mainly in the distances involved.
