Since 1984 the Indianapolis Colts have had some success although falling short of a Super Bowl each time. They have made the playoffs 7 times and twice made it to the AFC Championship Game. QB Peyton Manning has been the major reason for their latest success.ÜManning is on pace to surpass Dan Marino in a handful of statistical QB career records. In 2005 Colts started out the season 13-0 and were 3 wins away from being only the 2nd team in NFL history to finish a season undefeated. Unfortunately for Manning and the Colts they fell short by two games.

The Indianapolis Colts will play their last regular season game ever at the RCA Dome this weekend. And at 1 p.m. on Jan. 13, the team could play its last playoff game in the 57,980-seat stadium (The Colts has a first-round bye and don't yet know their first playoff opponent). The new Lucas Oil Stadium now casts a shadow over the former Hoosier Dome, which opened in 1984. Downtown was languishing before the arena began to rise, and city leaders took a big risk building the stadium without a tenant. Then the Colts agreed to move from Baltimore, providing the catalyst for a major revitalization of downtown.
