Immersion first implemented its TouchSense force feedback technology in 1996 in gaming system peripherals. Since that time, it has been incorporated into numerous computer and video console systems; medical simulation systems; rotary controls in cars from BMW, Rolls Royce, and Volkswagen; and mobile phones from Samsung. TouchSense technology for touchscreens is the latest implementation.
REDMOND, WA, February 7, 2001: TTM Technologies today announced the availability of an immersion gold finish for printed circuit boards fabricated in the Redmond Division. The addition of the new line enables the Redmond division to better serve those applications where immersion gold is the specified finish.
Qualcomm recently taped out on its low-power-optimized 45 nm process using advanced immersion lithography and extreme low-k inter-metal dielectric material. This process technology provides competitive performance, as well as significant cost efficiency, decreased leakage and increased integration.
