The Threat Map gives a clear illustration of the advancement of fraudulent activity as criminals' branch into new countries to deploy and house attacks. Over the past few months, Websense Security Labs has seen a major increase in the number of phishing and crimeware related websites in the Republic of Korea and China. The United States continues to be the top country of origin for criminal activity on the internet.

CRN was honored with a Grand award in the category of Design & Illustration for the CRN cover that appeared in conjunction with coverage of the September 11th terrorist attacks of the United States. APEX's judges stated that the CRN design was "a powerful cover design -- superb photo and cropping." It was one of just nine Grand Awards presented in the Design & Illustration category, and the only Grand Award for photographic design.
