[A]pparently in the main Hydra building is an operating room. This was first seen by Jack, who was brought to the room to try to help save Colleen's life. The area most likely has X-ray facilities judging by the images in the room, as well a supply of other clinical apparatus. With an observation deck above, it is possible that the room was originally used for teaching or observation during animal operations.

The destruction of the Hydra was one of the many difficult tasks that Heracles, had to perform to show that he was sorry for a terrible crime he committed. Heracles was so brave and strong that he succeeded in killing the Hydra, with the help of his nephew, Iolaus. Everytime Heracles would cut off one head of the beast, Iolaus would sear its injured neck, preventing new heads from growing back.

Because of its extreme popularity, it is often crowded (from April until the beginning of September), full of people who want to party. Most of the clubs and bars of Hydra are located west of the capital and are open until morning.

Besides their application in multiparty meetings, the physical design of the Hydra units are ... well suited for desktop video and diadic desktop video conferencing. They provide an alternative to having the video appearing a window on the computer screen, where there is contention for screen real-estate. Because of the tall-narrow form factor of the Hydra units, the video image appears adjacent to the computer monitor, but it does not interfere. And, because of the small foot-print, one pays a minimal price for having an additional display.

The images that Hydra uses are not required to be taken with a tripod, as it is usually the case with HDR software. Hydra uses the same warping algorithm as Morph Age, which permits the alignment of images with offsets above a few pixels. This is a unique feature that means you can take photos anywhere without a tripod to later blend them in Hydra. This will change your way of making HDRs.
