All Husky owners who returned a registration card are automatically receiving labels and instructions for placement of the new labels over the corresponding instructions in the current users guide and restraint cover label. Owners should be receiving this information within the week (by January 21). These labels and instructions will advise consumers using the lap belt only installation to reroute the lap belt to use an alternative, short belt path. This reinstallation will reduce loads to assure Standard 213 compliance.

The Siberian Husky has a medium length double coat. The under coat is dense and soft in texture. The outer coat is longer and coarse with straight guard hairs. Their coat comes in a variety of colors and patterns. The most common colors are black and white, gray and white, copper red and white, and pure white. The facial markings include masks and spectacles.

Husky dogs have become well known for their sled-pulling capabilities. The Iditarod, an 1150-mile race across Alaska, is held yearly and run by teams of huskies and their owners. In this race the dogs pull sleds across rough terrain, through deep snow and snowstorms. At the end of the race is acclaim and some very happy dogs, as huskies absolutely love the snow and love to pull. They ... have a natural tendency to dig, which is another reason they enjoy snow (although dirt is just as good to dig in)!

The Siberian Husky originated in northeastern Siberia as an endurance sled dog. In 1909 large numbers of this breed arrived in Alaska to participate in sled racing. The Siberian Husky's endurance, stamina, and strength quickly made them a popular breed in the Arctic region.
