The movie is set to debut on Comedy Central Oct. 2.
  2. John F. Kennedy -- Shooting
Kennedy's other decorations of the Second World War include the Purple Heart, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. He was honorably discharged in early 1945, just a few months before the Japanese surrender.
  3. Bahamas -- Islands
The Bahamas are an archipelago with more then 700 islands, about 30 of which are inhabited. Some of the most popular islands for Bahamas vacations include Paradise Island, Harbour Island, Abaco Island, Andros Island, Grand Bahama Island, San Salvador Island and Long Island. A Bahamas vacation to any one of these islands can be delightful, but there are certainly varying styles with each. Resort islands such as Paradise Island cater to travelers looking for luxury and activity. Some of the smaller, more remote islands like San Salvador service guests who want to escape the modern world and spend some quiet time on a beautiful beach.
  4. Fire Island National Seashore -- Parks
In 1938 the park facilities and settlements on Fire Island were devastated by a hurricane. As a result, what was to become Robert Moses State Park received a massive overhaul. New land formed by accretion on the western end of the island was ceded from the Federal to the State government. Sand was pumped onshore to build up part of the island to a height of 18 feet above mean sea level - the height engineers estimated as necessary to protect park facilities from future storm damage. Even though this was a massive undertaking, the park reopened with new a new layout and bathhouse facilities within a year. The Robert Moses Causeway connecting the barrier to Captree State Park and the mainland was completed in 1964.
  5. Fire Island National Seashore -- Long Island
Fire Island National Seashore is New York State’s only federally designated wilderness, but unlike other national parks, FINS encompasses colonies of private property, homes and businesses that have evolved into stable, permanent villages. The absence of cars and paved roads through the island has allowed each community the isolation to develop its own character - quiet family villages, flamboyant gay communities, party towns, upscale private enclaves, hidden havens for the reclusive and singles towns. There are rental properties, summer homes, and year-round homes on the island. Several hundred residents live within Fire Island during the winter months (see the Fire Island Year Round Residents Association) and that number swells to around 40,000 in the summer. Fire Island is free of all but essential vehicle travel (no private cars allowed on the island) and almost all visits are by ferry boats departing from Long Island’s Bay Shore, Sayville and Patchogue or by private boats. Though mostly populated from May through September, the dense summer populations and traffic endangers the dunes and wilderness between the villages.
  6. Tanya Tucker -- Country Music
From hillbilly Lolita to unrepentant single mother, Tanya Tucker has confounded critics and naysayers from the beginning of her career. Her antics (which most recently have included flashing her breasts in public) would have ended her career long ago, if she didn't have a smoldering voice that's among the best in country music when she gets the material and the production to do it justice.
  7. New Orleans Hornets
The New Orleans Hornets are a National Basketball Association team based in New Orleans , Louisiana . The name derived from the city's fierce resistance to British occupation during the Revolutionary War. Leading Lord General Cornwallis to refer to it as ‘'Hornets' Nest.'' The franchise played its first game as the Charlotte Hornets in October 1988. The 1988 team was led by guard Kelly Tripucka, who provided instant offense. Tripucka was Charlotte 's top scorer for the franchise's first two seasons. In 1992-93, the team won the second pick in the draft, using it to select Georgetown center Alonzo Mourning. The Hornets now had two 20-10 threats in a Johnson and Mourning, who with Gill formed perhaps the league's top young trio.
  8. 1937
The 20 recordings on the 1937-1941 volume were cut variously in Paris during 1937; Hilversum, Holland, in 1938; and New York in 1940 and 1941. The French and Dutch recordings represent South's final European sessions before his return to the United States in 1938 -- that's Django Reinhardt strumming along on the two Parisian sides, "Fiddle Blues" and "Interpretation Sing du Premier Mouvement du Concerto en Re Mineur de Jean-Sebastien Bach-Part 2," with Stephane Grappelli joining him on violin. South's own quintet (including the extraordinarily sweet piano of David Martin) is featured on the four Hilversum sides, all of which -- "Honeysuckle Rose," "On the Sunny Side of the Street," the delightful "Fiddleditty," and the extraordinary "Black Gypsy," a track worthy of Jascha Heifetz -- are worth the price of this disc. South's New York-based Columbia and Okeh sides never sold as well as what he did for Swing, but they're equally worthwhile. The disc closes out with his hot rendition of "Lady Be Good" and a mellow version of "Stompin' at the Savoy."
