Howard further elaborated upon his views during an extended interchange with a caller during the July 23, 1999 show. The caller repeatedly claimed that "Jesus Christ will hold [Howard Stern] responsible for his wickedness." Howard responded by saying that "man created god" and questioned whether Christ actually ever existed.
