Howard Stern is a well known miscreant in the communications industry. He caters to the worst demographic of the American listening public. What he offers isn't entertainment, it is egomania. He has a lot to answer for in this matter. Whatever lies he gets his listeners to believe won't hold up in a court of law.

Tuesday, Howard Stern will celebrate 1 year on the air at Sirius. They will replay his 1-9-06 show after the live one, and play the top 10 moments of 2006 as voted by the listeners.

On those interminable Stern stop-sets: Not only is the listener being hosed [B]ut the sponsor is too. Can you imagine paying five hundred dollars for a spot that is buried deep inside the pungent bowels one of these nasty "breaks?" In point of fact, most Stern listeners bail out at the first indication of a spot and return ten or fifteen minutes later when the clog is passed into the porcelain bowl of the airwaves.

Additionally, Stern has been known to rally his loyal listeners when he felt necessary. In the 2004 election, he took the time between jokes and banter to take shots at George Bush in hopes of swaying the popular vote to John Kerry. While obviously unsuccessful in that venture, one has to wonder how much of the voting power he did control in his repeated commentaries concerning the President who was running for reelection.
