Project Sentinel is a non-profit agency providing services to help people resolve housing problems. The agency assists home seekers as well as housing providers through counseling, complaint investigation, mediation, conciliation and education. The services are funded by cities and counties in the greater Bay Area and Central Valley. All services are free and confidential.

WASHINGTON, Oct. 19, 2000 /PRNewswire/ -- The Child Welfare League of America hailed a measure passed today by both the House and Senate that will extend housing assistance to young adults ages 18 - 21 who have lived in foster care. The provision was included in the FY 2001 HUD appropriations bill (H.R. 4635) extending eligibility of the family unification housing program to young people leaving foster care.

JACKSON, MS -- (PRNewswire) Bechtel National, Inc. (BNI) has begun developing the first of more than 50 group housing sites in Mississippi, representing a new, accelerated phase of its Katrina relief work for FEMA. The first group site, in Long Beach, will contain 99 temporary housing units, including travel trailers and manufactured homes, and provide shelter to more than 270 people displaced by the hurricane.
