Homeopathy: Years
built 656 days ago
Homeopathy is a medical treatment used by thousands of practitioners around the world for about 200 years. It has been used to treat many conditions acute and chronic, from skin rashes and earaches to infections and cancer. Most reports on the efficacy of homeopathy are anecdotal and very few studies have been done that follow current scientific standards. However, many scientists conclude that homeopathy may be of value in the treatment and prevention of diseases in humans, animals and even crops.

[One] piece of bunk on homeopathy appears in Wired.com: ''Homeopathy -- Dilute And Heal'' by Andy Patrizio. The focus of Patrizio's article is a book by Dr. Bill Gray called Homeopathy: Science or Myth. Gray claims to have earned an M.D. from Stanford Medical School in 1970 and to have been a homeopath for 27 years and he has rubbed elbows with several Nobel Prize winners. Dr. Gray may be a bit confused... since he claims that George Vithoulkas of Athens, Greece, who trained Gray in homeopathy, was a ''1996 recipient of Nobel Prize for Alternative Medicine in Stockholm, Sweden.'' There is no Nobel Prize for Alternative Medicine.
