The Holocaust is the latest created by artist and historian G. S. Stuart, whose works are known for high historical accuracy and attention to detail. Most of his 400-plus Historical Figures(R) are in museums, including the Smithsonian Institution. In southern California, the Museum of Ventura County exhibits their collection of 200 Historical Figures on a rotating basis.

Houston's Museum District houses 18 institutions, from the Menil Collection set in an acclaimed Renzi Piano structure to the Children's Museum of Houston to The Holocaust Museum. Through April 20, 2008, the Houston Museum of Natural Science is exhibiting the notable Lucy's Legacy: The Hidden Treasures of Ethiopia, featuring the remains of the 3.2 million-year-old hominid, believed to be one of mankind's earliest ancestors, along with approximately 190 other artifacts from Ethiopia.

Lerman was involved in the Holocaust Museum from the planning stages. Appointed to its governing board by President Jimmy Carter, he was reappointed by the next three presidents. He was the board's chairman emeritus.
