Through the Holocaust Awareness Institute, the University of Denver has demonstrated its commitment to Holocaust education for a quarter of a century. Located in the heart of the city, the University is a welcoming environment to educators, students and members of diverse religous and cultural communities. This memorial will be more than just an inviting outdoor gathering site with beautiful commemorative art. It will be an opportunity to incorporate education that will transform the hearts and minds of all who visit.

Appalachian State University’s Center for Judaic, Holocaust, and Peace Studies was founded in 2002 to develop new educational opportunities for students, teachers, and the community. Located administratively within the College of Arts and Sciences, the Office seeks to strengthen tolerance, understanding, and remembrance by increasing the knowledge of Jewish culture and history, teaching the history and meaning of the Holocaust, and using these experiences to explore peaceful avenues for human improvement and the prevention of future genocides.

The State of Florida Resource Manual on Holocaust Education, Grades 9-12 has been distributed to every public, private, and parochial high school in Florida. The 940-page manual has been reproduced on CD-ROM and was distributed to the high schools during the 2000 - 2001 school year.
