Could Variety Hits be coming to Dayton, OH? Hits cover Hits, released in 1998, was the first greatest hits collection of Phil Collins studio recordings. The collection included fourteen Top 40 hits, including seven American #1 songs, spanning from the albums Face Value (1981) through Dance Into the Light (1996). One new Collins recording, a cover of Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors"... appeared on the collection and was a popular song on adult contemporary stations. There have been an unfortunate number of cuts in the radio biz recently, and today it hit a Variety Hits station. According to All Access, CBS Radio PD/MD Craig Powers is out from KKJJ/Las Vegas (100.5 Jack FM) as part of sweeping cuts institued by the company today in major markets across the country.

HITS THEATRE was founded by Executive Director Carolyn Franklin in June 1980. Incorporated under the name HOUSTON UPSTAIRS THEATRE SCHOOL as a non-profit organization under IRS code 501 (c) (3), HITS is a theatre training facility for children ages 6-22. When, in 1984, the school moved into its own theatre in the Houston Heights, it ceased being “UPSTAIRS” and became “HITS”! HITS has two major goals for children in the arts: EDUCATION and PERFORMANCE.
