Hinduism: Life
built 635 days ago
Ganesh Hinduism is based on the concept that human and animal spirits reincarnate, or come back to earth to live many times in different forms. The belief that souls move up and down an infinite hierarchy depending on the behaviors they practiced in their life is visible in many of the Hindu societal policies. The caste system survives and charity towards others is unheard of because each individual deserves to be in the social class they were born in. A person is born into the highest class because they behaved well in a past life, and a person is born into poverty and shame because of misbehaviors in a past life.

One concept which is found everywhere within Hinduism today is the idea of reincarnation or transmigration. Whereas Christianity thinks in terms of the importance of decisionmaking within one life, and sees salvation in terms of the individual (though not neglecting the group or the whole), the Hindu thinks of the flow of life through many existences. This lies behind the notion of samsara which expresses this flow from birth to death and then on to rebirth, and so on. As a result the limited span of history is lengthened to billions upon billions of years.

Hinduism teaches that anyone born into a lower caste or an Untouchable is being punished for the sins committed in his past life. If such a person is calmly resigned to his fate and lives rightly, he will be elevated in caste in his next life. This premise tends to make the members of the lower castes and the untouchables submissive to the terrible economic and social conditions under which they live.

Hinduism is a name that Westerners gave to the part of the Indian sub-continent. It was therefore defined by geography (and then came to represent to the West a set of traditions, beliefs and practices). The Hindu way of life, is more often called by Hindus ‘Sanatana Dharma’ (the eternal way of life).
Hindi has no actual word for "religion" - Hinduism is not a compartmentalized belief system so much as it is a way of life. As a result, some argue that Hinduism isn't really a religion afterall. It is... more like a religion than anything else, but it is important to keep in mind that it isn't a "religion" just like Christianity or Judaism are religions.
Hot Tour Packages - Heritage Tour with Heritage Hospitality Hinduism, a religion which was not started by a single person can ... be termed as the science of leading a healthy life. It is a religion which can't be adopted and the traditions of Hinduism passes through generation though the blood flow.
