Hindu: Hindu Temple
built 198 days ago
A young Hindu devotee takes a shower before starting his pilgrimage to the sacred Batu Caves temple during Thaipusam festival in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, January 31, 2007. The need to feed up to two billion more people by 2025, booming industrialization in developing countries like China, and a warming climate seen threatening the world's most precious natural resource has investors serious about water. On Thursday, 13 December 2007, the Bhaktivedanta Manor, Watford issued a press release: Hindu community betrayed by RSPCA. The statement from ISKCON stated: The cow Gangotri was sick but had no disease. She was being cared for by temple residents and visiting worshipers, and was being administered pain relief. The temple runs 'The Cow Protection Project' and allows old cows and bulls to die naturally. Head Farm Manager and former Royal Marine Stuart Coyle [Shyamsundar Das] explained: "Gangotri was unable to walk, but due to her condition there was some tolerable discomfort".
The Temple has evolved into a permanent feature of the Nevada landscape, promoting Hindu religion and culture and providing a sanctum for human beings of all creeds. The Temple is a shining example of what a community could accomplish collectively in order to sustain its religious and cultural roots.
