Hilary Swank is starring as Amelia Earhart in Amelia, a biopic about the pioneering aviator that Mira Nair (Monsoon Wedding) is directing from a script by Ron Bass (Entrapment). Earhart became the first woman to receive the Distinguished Flying Cross medal after she flew across the Atlantic Ocean in 1928.
