Hilary Swank, showing off her new, shorter 'do (done by Oprah for charity) and a Dior dress, was honored at the "Time for Peace" Film and Music awards last night for her work in Freedom Writers. Considering the war that's going on between the writers and the network/studio heads right now, seems like it's "Time for Peace" indeed!

Hilary was turned away from the Golden Globe Awards. Hilary stuck her head out of the limo's window so they could see who she was and asked very politely to be let through. The guards didn't recognise her and refused her entry. Hilary and her boyfriend/agent John Campsi, had to get out of their vehicle and find another limo that was permitted to drive up to the red carpet. Witnesses said Hilary was furious and made a rude hand gesture at the security guard when she did gain entry. (edit)
