Highlander is a movie that really didn't need a sequel, but it definitely needed a follow up. The hundreds of years that were not explored in Connor MacLeod's lifetime could have easily made countless numbers of movies of his adventures. Christopher Lambert is excellent as Connor MacLeod. He was trained by a dialogue coach to speak with an accent that sounded nonspecifically foreign, but there is a slight French accent that's not so prominent in the later sequels. Clancy Brown is, without a doubt, the best villain in any Highlander production. Sean Connery's portrayal of Ramirez is easily one of the most memorable in the Highlander saga.

Highlander Comic Book, Issue #0 Highlander is a film and television franchise that began with a 1986 fantasy movie starring Christopher Lambert, who plays Connor MacLeod, the Highlander. Born in Glenfinnan, in the Scottish Highlands in the 16th century, MacLeod is one of a number of Immortals. Over the years, there have been five Highlander movies, two television series, an animated series, an animated movie, an animated flash-movie, fourteen original novels, various comic books, and licensed merchandise.
The Highlander opened April 9th, 1992 in a nearly empty shopping strip located in a run down part of town. Only the four partners, and maybe their moms, believed their business could take off. A year later the heavy dinner traffic conflicted with the crowds from Atlanta's music scene. This led to bar doubling in size with the opening of the Midtown Music Hall at The Highlander. Over the first couple of years, three of the original partners (Jim Hancock, Rob Wilson, and Thomas Grant) left for love or money. By 1996, the partners' love of the music scene had been overshadowed by the difficulty and work involved in producing and promoting a live music venue.
Connor MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) The first of what became a series of films, Highlander, directed by Russell Mulcahy, was released on March 7, 1986 with the tagline, "There Can Be Only One." The film features a number of flashback scenes establishing Connor MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod's early history, and builds up to his final destiny amongst the last of the mysterious Immortals. Through a mentor and fellow Immortal — Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez played by Sean Connery — he learns of the existence of other Immortals, who occur spontaneously throughout history. An Immortal can die only after being beheaded, and Immortals battle another in ritual single combat to the death, until the "Gathering," when the few remaining Immortals will fight until only one remains to take "The Prize." The Gathering occurs in modern-day New York City, and sees the Highlander, who has fallen in love again despite trying to cut himself off from humanity, narrowly defeat his powerful and evil enemy, The Kurgan, whom he has encountered repeatedly over the previous centuries, and who has slain Ramirez and many others.
Highlander is pleased to announce that details of it's new Tactical Vests are now available from the website. Consisting of a full range of vests, from operational vests with full military spec to more affordable Enforcement vests.

The Highlander B&B is located approximately 150 miles south/southwest of Anchorage. The nearest airport is in Kenai, which is about 20 miles away. If you wish, you may rent a car in Anchorage and take the Seward highway. The scenery is quite stunning. The road is very good and the way to Soldotna is well marked.
