For those people who are prone to slumping their backs, high heels are a forcible way to correct posture as the extra height of the heels requires a far more upright stance when walking then does regular shoes. For women who fear their height is too short to be attractive, highheels increase the height of the wearer by up to six inches, making it seem that you are half a head taller than you would otherwise be. For those women who further want to give the impression that they have long sexy legs, the elevation of the heel by several inches gives the appearance that the legs are several inches longer than they actually are. This can go a long way if you are trying to attract people or a person in particular at a dance or other formal event.

There are so many problems associated with wearing high heeled shoes but women simply ignore the warnings for cosmetic reasons. You do not have to stop wearing heels permanently but you should limit your use of them to special occasions only. It really is not a joke and in order to take proper care of your feet, the use of high heels does need to be limited. Always check that the shoes are the right size for you as this is often what causes bigger problems. The shoes you do choose should ... be comfortable when you try them on, though many women think that they can break the shoes in even if they are uncomfortable at first.
