Heterosexuality
built 670 days ago
Heterosexuality is a small principality perched on a rock in rural Bury St Edmunds. Thought by the Republican Party of the United States of Terrorism to be a paragon of moral civility, it is in fact populated by hairy neanderthals who grunt a lot and hit each other with sticks. Heterosexuals have now been ethnically cleansed everywhere in America except the Southern United States, where they live in ghettos known as trailer parks. Their natural predator is the homosexual which stalks them cunningly in gyms and wedding socials in an attempt to absorb them into the gay agenda. Some heterosexuals have resisted the predation by forming a special force called religious fundamentalism but this has only led to even more clever tactics in the form of "oops, silly me, I dropped the soap".
Research scientist Leslie B. Anne searches for the cure! Heterosexuality is a sickness which exacts a terrible price. Now, many things come with a price; and that doesn't make them bad. For example if you want to get a college diploma, you have to spend money and study for years. You ... get to experience oodles of stress, particularly before exams. Another example of something with a price attached to it is the act of building a home. You have to spend a good chunk of change, cut down good trees that just happen to be in the way, and you have to put up with noise and dirt, building inspectors and more during the construction.
Heterosexuality is determined by whether sexual performance conforms to society-designated gender roles. From this wider perspective, this book examines literature previously viewed as “straight” in a search for alternative manifestations of desire and performance, relationships that contain an apparent disconnect between gender and desire. With broad coverage of many periods, authors, and genres, the 17 essays identify inherently queer heterosexual practices and critique the idea of heteronormativity, blurring the line between homo- and heterosexuality. Topics discussed include sodomy and chastity; Victorian literature; the relationship between sex, gender and desire; and the instability in literary portrayals of gender and sexuality. George Eliot, George Meredith, Ernest Hemingway, and Rider Haggard are among the many authors discussed.
Heterosexuality, like any forms of identity is very subjective. In Western society, one is generally thought of as heterosexual if he or she derives his or her erotic and/or sexual stimulation from people of the opposite sex. In other cultures a heterosexual man may engage in homosexual intercourse provided that he keeps the role traditionally assigned to his sex during intercourse and his gender during the surrounding relationship. Also, in some cultures a heterosexually identifying man may assume any role during homosexual congress as a social action provided he maintain a relationship with a woman in his family life. Cultural allowances such as this have been historically rarer amongst women, but more recently have been tolerated more than the male equivalents largely because of its connection to some schools of feminism.
Heterosexuality is usually contrasted with homosexuality and sometimes bisexuality. Current trends in psychology suggest heterosexuality and homosexuality may exist on a non-modal continuum rather than as discrete entities. Thus, views on heterosexuality are divided among those who hold that heterosexuality is a concrete idea of attraction towards the opposite sex, versus those that hold that heterosexuality is more fluid. Acknowledging that a person's sex and gender can differ ... requires a more flexible definition of heterosexuality.
Heterosexuality is sexual or romantic attraction between opposite sexes, and is the most common sexual orientation among humans. The current use of the term has its roots in the broader 19th century tradition of personality taxonomy. These continue to influence the development of the modern concept of sexual orientation, gaining associations with romantic love and identity in addition to its original, exclusively sexual meaning.
