Henry Kravis, co-founder of KKR, just finished up his keynote address “Current State of the Private Equity Business” to about 500 people attending the CVCA AGM in Halifax. I’ll do a follow-up post on some of his PE trends once the day is out.

Kravis and other brutal manipulators only do what an utterly crooked and corrupted system will allow. Flashy players like Kravis are rank amateurs compared to those who own the system. That system was hijacked for a criminal ruling class nigh on 100 years ago when the private Ponzi farce “Federal Reserve” Corp was enforced over the U.S. economy.

In May, Mr. Kravis is in Halifax, saying, again, that the takeover arena has never looked better. "The private equity world is in its golden era right now," Mr. Kravis tells a conference of bankers and investors. "The stars are aligned."

During that period, Kravis set records on both sides of the Atlantic. After KKR and TPG agreed to buy Dallas-based electric utility operator TXU Corp. in February in a record $45 billion LBO, Kravis and Italian billionaire Stefano Pessina in April agreed to buy British drugstore chain Alliance Boots Plc for 11.1 billion pounds ($22.2 billion) in the largest LBO in Europe.
