built 297 days ago
Hello Kitty Hello Kitty is a cute kitsch Japanese cartoon cat that can be found on everything from coffee makers, toasters and TV's to jewelry and clothing. She even has her own theme park "Harmonyland" in Japan!
Since being created over 30 years ago, Hello Kitty's face and body have come to adorn many products. You can find clothing, electronics, school supplies, party supplies, and even wedding themes all based on this adorable little cat.
Hello Kitty being hugged. Hello Kitty was originally to be named "White Kitty" (from one of the cats that Alice kept in the book Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll), due to British culture being popular among Japanese girls at the time of her inception. However, this name was not adopted.
Saiman Chow created this "Hello Kitty vs. Video Game Robot" shorty for the cat's 30th anniversary exhibition held in Hong Kong. Man enters game center, plays the U.F.O. catcher and an arcade game gets royally pissed. Kitty goes on a rampage, squirting white clay onto the arcade machine. Yuck! more

Some claim that Hello Kitty was inspired by Miffy, or Nijntje in Dutch, created by the Dutch artist Dick Bruna in 1955. And some others claim that Hello Kitty was inspired by Musti, created by graphic artist Ray Goossens in 1945. Musti is a little cat, living with his mother and father in a little house in a rural village, surrounded by a large garden with animals and trees.
Swarovski whores with $66,000 to spare might be interested in this Maneki Neko doll from Hello Kitty. It parked its cat butt at a Tokyo department store recently in order to show off around 800 one-off Kitty products. more
