Helena Bonham Carter: Fight Club
built 189 days ago
Helena Bonham Carter pictures Helena Bonham Carter possesses two kinds of royalty -- one inherited and one earned. As the great-granddaughter of a prime minister (okay, not technically royalty, we know), she has, to a degree, been famous since birth; as an actress, she has been crowned the "corset queen" for her many outstanding performances in 19th century costume dramas. These include A Room with a View, Where Angels Fear to Tread, Howards End, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, and The Wings of the Dove. The latter earned her nominations for an Oscar and a Golden Globe and inspired David Fincher to cast her as Marla in Fight Club, one of three American drug addicts she has played (the others being in the film Novocaine with Steve Martin and, of all places, Miami Vice).
