- Michelle Williams -- Heath Ledger
Nov 1, 2005 - Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams became first-time parents on October 28, 2005. Ledger and Williams are now the proud parents of Matilda Ledger, born in Brooklyn, New York. - Jake Gyllenhaal -- Heath Ledger
With a talent and instinct beyond his years, Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal (pronounced Jill-en-hall) is on the fast track toward stardom. Even in the early stages of his career, he has starred opposite several of today's most respected actors such as Heath Ledger, Dustin Hoffman, Laura Dern, Holly Hunter, Chris Cooper, John C. Reilly and Susan Sarandon. He has caught the attention of audiences and critics with a series of powerful performances, and this year will be no exception. - Naomi Watts -- Heath Ledger
Naomi Watts was among the stars that joined actor Heath Ledger’s family for a private memorial service in Los Angeles on Saturday night. The 39-year-old actress looked "visibly upset”, reports eyewitness at Westwood Village Memorial Park. The event lasted for 30 minutes and Australia's consul-general read a note from Ledger's father Kim. He will be buried in his native Perth, Australia, reports claim. - Brokeback Mountain -- Heath Ledger
Brokeback Mountain is the heir to this more reflective tradition. Proulx's original story, like much gay fiction, imagines a beautiful, idealised landscape in which taboo love can breathe. On Brokeback Mountain the lovers Ennis and Jack (played by Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal) are "suspended above ordinary affairs" (though not, it turns out, beyond the gaze of unfriendly binoculars). - Kate Hudson -- Heath Ledger
At her Halloween Party, Kate Hudson spent a good portion of the eveningseen making out with movie star Orlando Bloom. When they weren’t making out, they were “mingling like a couple.” But the other night (Thursday) the star was spotted in a lip lock with Heath Ledger. It seems the Bloom-fling was short-lived, at best. - Brokeback Mountain (2005) -- Heath Ledger
Brokeback Mountain is much better than either The Shipping News or The Hours, though. Partly that's because the minimalist style and cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto's evocative imagery disguise how little the writing actually conveys in the second half. Partly because Ledger and Gyllenhaal deliver stirring performances as Ennis and Jack, the former painfully stoic and the latter more emotionally exposed. Mostly it's because the powerful, painstakingly crafted first part gives the film a large enough reserve of emotional energy to sustain momentum. Then, the haunting finale restores a sense of beauty and grace. Yes, it's a gay cowboy movie. - Brothers Grimm -- Matt Damon
The Brothers Grimm is a 2005 comedic fantasy directed by Terry Gilliam and written by Ehren Kruger. Matt Damon and Heath Ledger star as Will and Jake Grimm traveling con artists who encounter a real fairy-tale curse and are forced to dredge up genuine courage to fight off a real evil. - Terry Gilliam -- Brothers Grimm
Terry Gilliam's adventure tale centers on brothers Jake (Heath Ledger) and Will Grimm (Matt Damon), who travel from village to village posing as exterminators of mystical, magical and enchanted creatures. Read More - Johnny Depp -- Directors
Take this with a grain of salt, but AICN is reporting that Imaginarium Of Dr. Parnassus director Terry Gilliam has cast Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law to film the remaining scenes that Heath Ledger was to have played. If word from Harry Knowles' camp ends up being true, it'll be quite a score for both the project and the notorious bad-luck magnet Gilliam. While it remains to be seen how Heath Ledger's scenes will be integrated into the final product, we can all agree that this casting news is a definite improvement over Christopher Plummer's vision of using "stills and something I think they call CGI" to save the flick. [AICN] - Anne Hathaway -- Brokeback Mountain
A grief-stricken Anne Hathaway and Raffaello Follieri visit the Waverly Inn in NYC on January 25, 2008. Hathaway was the co-star of Heath Ledger in the Academy Award winning movie ‘Brokeback Mountain.’ Hathaway looked visibly upset and looked as if she had been crying. Rest In Peace, Heath. At the meanwhile, I’ve ... added two new posters from ‘Get Smart’. Trailer can be found here.
