Hayden Christensen: Movies
built 272 days ago
Canadian actor Hayden Christensen was just beginning to carve a respectable acting career for himself when he snagged the much-coveted lead role in Episode II: Attack Of The Clones. Quite a challenge for any actor, but for a 20-year-old with only a few years in the business it was a pretty audacious move.

Actor Hayden Christensen has proven he could finally make a box-office hit on his own. Despite strong competition in a Valentine season, his action/sci-fi movie ‘Jumper’ has ruled the US Box office chart last weekend with $27.2 million gross revenues beating three more new releases such as the musical-drama Step Up 2: The Streets, children-fantasy The Spiderwick Chronicles and romantic comedy Definitely, Maybe.

Hayden Christensen was born in Vancouver, but his family later moved to the Toronto area, where he went to school. He has a brother, 27, and two sisters, 25 and 15 years old. His parents are in the communications business.

As for the selection of Christensen, it is perhaps only fitting that an actor tied to one screen icon now moves to the role of another, although it's not the icon one would expect. Hellmuth offered another memorable quote on this when he served up the following in his Madison plea: "In some respects, I'd like to think that I'm the true-life poker equivalent of the fictional pugilist Rocky Balboa."

[Y]et, despite all this, Christensen is still just the down-to-earth kid he was before this all happened, when his only dream was to get a tennis scholarship to university and figure out what he wanted to study. No really, its true. The kid from Markham, Ontario, who became a huge celebrity almost overnight, still hangs out with his high school buddies, says the only place he calls home is the house he grew up in, and tells me the most extravagant purchases hes made with his Hollywood millions are a car for his mom and a farm in Ontario where his parents, older brother Tove, and sisters Hejsa and Kaylen can spend time together. Hayden Christensen, it seems, is capable of acting like a self-absorbed, bratty young man only when hes cast as one in a movie.
