Harry James Potter was born on July 31, 1980, to James and Lily Potter. From birth, he lived in hiding with his parents after they were marked for death by Lord Voldemort. They lived in Godrics Hollow in a home put under the Fidelius Charm to keep them hidden. As part of the charm, they had planned to make their Secret-Keeper Sirius Black, but using the advice of Sirius, they changed this designation to Peter Pettigrew, as they thought he would be less suspicious. In a terrible turn of fate, it happened that Pettigrew was a spy for Voldemort. He betrayed James and Lily Potter, staged his own death, and framed Sirius Black for everything.

James and Lily Potter were killed in this incident in 1981 while protecting baby Harry from Voldemort's attack. James died first, and Lily's dying act - sacrificing herself to save her infant son - placed Harry under a spell of love and protection. Subsequently, Harry survived the Avada Kedavra or 'killing curse' aimed at him by Voldemort, and for as yet unknown reasons linked to Lily's act of love, the curse rebounded on Voldemort. Apart from sustaining serious injury, Voldemort's powers were sapped by the encounter and he was defeated. In Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets, Harry tells Voldemort, I don't know why you lost your powers that night, but I know why you couldn't kill me. Beaten and powerless, Voldemort went into hiding, and Harry became a celebrity in the wizarding world as "The Boy Who Lived," especially famous for the lightning-shaped scar Voldemort's curse left on his forehead.

"Harry Potter and the Goblet of Budweiser": HP sees trouble brewing abroad. Voldemort is fomenting war in a distant land, hoping to lure the glory-seeking HP to a gruesome end. HP heeds the call but his mother's ghost returns to dissuade him, whereupon HP joins up with the Hogsmeade Air National Guard in spite of there being a long waiting list to get in and further in spite of the fact that HP had no credentials whatsoever other than family. Voldemort again slinks away in defeat. Adding insult to injury, HP skips duty for more than a year at the Hogsmeade Air National Guard but still emerges with reputation intact.

As Harry grabbed for the golden snitch, he felt the patting on his back as his team had just won the game. This game, Quidditch, is just one of the many games the famous Harry Potter plays. Quidditch is a game where you ride your broomstick and try to find the golden snitch (a small flying golden ball). The first team to find the golden snitch wins. As many of you know, Harry Potter is a wizard, well-known because of his great survival. He was the only wizard or witch to survive the greatest dark wizard spell of them all, and the cool thing about it was that he reversed the spell and made the evil wizard, Lord Voldemort, loose most of his powers.
